Many of you will have heard of the HTC mobile phone brand who create some cool smart phones running windows mobile software. The latest to hit the streets is the HTC Kaiser which when unlocked and purchased with out contract is named the HTC Tytn II. The Tytn II features a slide out QWERTY keyboard and the screen is able to tilt upwards to get a more comfortable viewing angle. Back to the HTC tytn II… If you want to get one of those on contract then you will probably struggle to find it by that name. This is because phone operators have rebranded them. Here is a list of known variations of the HTC Kaiser.

vodafone v1615 (HTC Kaiser 120)
Release Date: October, 2007

AT&T Tilt 8925 (HTC Kaiser 110)
Release Date: October, 2007

Vodafone VPA Compact V (HTC Kaiser 120)
Release Date: September, 2007

T-Mobile MDA varioIII (HTC Kaiser 120)
Release Date: September, 2007

AT&T Tilt 8900 (HTC Kaiser 100)
Cancelled

Notice how each also has a side name of HTC Kaiser 1XX. 120 means the device has cameras, and 110 means no forward facing camera for video callsand 100 means no cameras at all. I picked up the MDA Vario III this week on contract and I have to admit, it’s one heck of a great device.

no cut dual sim card socket

This small device allows you to run two SIM cards in one mobile phone at the same time. With this new version you do not need to hack up your SIM cards to make them fit. It appears that one SIM card goes over the battery and the other one in the regular place. It will not work with USIM 3G cards, but will work with a good number of other handsets. This version also does not require you to switch off the mobile phoneto change numbers. You have an option on screen to switch between SIM1 and SIM2. For full details check outGr8 Idea . A compatibility list is given on that site. The dual SIM socket will cost just £9.95 and is perfect for those living the Dual SIM life.

Pacman Phone

QuickSilver have created a new phonewhich looks like PacMan. From the image on the phone it makes you wonder if this phone is intended to be whipped out of your wet suit while surfing away to catch that picture of a wave as it crashes over you. Looking very closely at the specs it seems to be packed of a few nice features such as a QVGA screen, GPRS and Edge, micro SD and a USB port for connectivity. The idea is just concept at the moment, so I have no release date details or prices. Another picture can be found after the jump.
