Citizen Astrodea Celestial Watch

Here is a unique wristwatch, I think. It comes from Citizen, which is a fine maker of watches, and is part of their Astrodea collection. The watch gives you a view of the heavens as seen from the Northern Hemisphere and it rotates in real time. The face shows 1,109 stars and 169 cluster galaxies. (I would hate to have had the job of actually counting them from the watches face). “It also includes other measurements like equinox indications, constellation markers, location of the sun, solar position, sunrise and sunset times and the daily duration of sunshine.”

Colors are either a blue or gold face, and it has a stainless steel case. Because of the detail of the face, it also comes with a 10x magnifier. Its cost is about $585.

Brando USB Flexible Webcam

I love those laptops with built in webcams. They are much more convenient than having to carry around that extra accessory. But most of them have the camera inserted around the top of the screen. This makes it difficult to aim the camera at anything but yourself. This mini webcam from a company called Brando has a flexible neck that you can position in almost anyway you like.

“The webcam is 100% plug and play and doesn’t require any drivers to be installed when used under Windows XP or Vista. The lens can be rotated for adjusting the focus and it’s compatible with ICQ, MSN, Skype and other chat and VOIP applications. You can get it directly from Brando for just $19.”

A New Dual SATA HDD Case from Evergreen

If your are sick of those drab looking silver USB HDD cases, this company gives you some choices. Evergreen has introduced the DN-HS-207U in four eye catching colors. They support up to a 1TB drive, (two 500GB Drives) and will let you decide to either combine these two drives, or treat them as two separate volumes.

Sony Mylo COM-2 Broadband Gadget with Free W-Fi

Posted by hi iam cute,cool,sweet,awesome | 15:31

The Sony Mylo is a wireless broadband gadget that can connect to open Wi-Fi Networks. It does not require a monthly service contract, and you can use all of those free access hotspot locations like McDonalds until December 2008, as an added bonus. Looks like it would be great for those that love to IM, like young students

CyBook

The Cybook uses ePaper technology that allows you to read ebooks with outstanding readability because of its high resolution screen. And according to the website, it has an outstanding battery life, allowing 8000 page flips. I’m not sure how many hours of juice that computes to, but it seems like a lot. Of course, PDA’s have been doing this same thing for years, but this device uses “E-Ink” which requires no backlight to read text. The device also has a 2.5 stereo mini jack for listening to your MP3’s, 64MB of internal memory, an SD slot, and USB port.

Dutch Dead Bbudd Speaker System

Posted by hi iam cute,cool,sweet,awesome | 15:20

This strange speaker system called the Dead Bbudd Speaker System looks like a goo goo doll with his eyes crossed out. And the speakers are right on the end of his feet. The system is unamplified, so it seems to be mostly for looks rather than high performance. But, if you like the strange, the wierd, the dead….than check this out at the website. Cost is about $38.00

CeBIT 2008: General Mobile shows credible GM500 watch-phone

Posted by hi iam cute,cool,sweet,awesome | 15:14

General Mobile has been showing off its wristwatch phone, the GM500, in the hallowed Hanover halls of CeBIT 2008.

Measuring only 58.1 x 44.2 x 16.4 mm and weighing 142 grams (which includes the weight of the battery and metal wristband), the GM500 claims to be among the smallest GSM mobile phones ever created. It's certainly one of the most credible watch/phone solutions we've seen.

The OLED display measures 1.5 inches and offers touchscreen technology for controlling functions like calls, SMS and MMS, listening to music or watching videos – although you'd have to be pretty precise with your touching on a screen that small.

The GM500 is a tri-band GSM device (900, 1800 and 1900 MHz) that comes with GPRS, WAP, internet capabilities, Bluetooth and USB data transfer, MP3 and video playback and a voice recorder.

It has 128MB of built-in memory and can store 300 phonebook entries. Its boasts 120 minutes of talk time and about 80 hours of stand-by time.

There's a hands-free option for folk who go for the Secret Service look, or the more likely way of using this is via hook-up with a Bluetooth headset.

The GM500 is due to be available to buy in 2Q of 2008, and suggested retail price will be 599 euros, which is around £460.
